Beyoncé Giselle Knowles (born September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas) is an African American R & B singer, actress and composer and producer of lead in the group Destiny’s Child. In a Universal Music poll conducted earlier this year, Beyonce beat Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera will be crowned the princess of pop.
Usually referred to by his first name, Beyoncé, which is her stage name, but has come to be called “Beyoncé Knowles” by many in the media. His first solo album, 2003’s Dangerously In Love, topped both the R & B and pop in the U.S., and the main tables of Canada and the United Kingdom. The album had four top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Crazy in Love” boyfriend [[Jay-Z], “Baby Boy” featuring Sean Paul, “Me Myself & I” and “Naughty Girl” all of which were back-to-back multiple numbers one week on the table during the summer and fall. Beyonce won five Grammy Awards for his solo work and three as a member of Destiny’s Child. As a teenager, she attended school for visual and performing arts in Houston, where he honed his musical talent.
Destiny’s Child
Beyonce, Destiny’s Child toured as an opening act for both Christina Aguilera and TLC before their first album, also called Destiny’s Child. The group is led by his father, Matthew Knowles, who is renowned as a powerful force in the lives of Beyonce. Beyoncé is the main songwriter of the group and is generally regarded as his masterpiece. Currently, the group has just returned from a break since 2001 when its three current members, Beyoncé, Rowland and Michelle Williams, each decided to temporarily pursue solo careers.
The group of self-eponymous album, released in 1998, was produced by Wyclef Jean and Jermaine Dupri and featured the platinum-selling, number one Hot 100 single “No, No, No”. The album was also certified platinum. Second album from Destiny’s Child The Writing’s On The Wall released in 1999 featured two number one hits “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Say My Name”. ( “Bug-A-Boo” and “Jumpin ‘Jumpin’ album singles were also very popular.)” Say My Name “won two Grammys in 2001 for Best R & B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Song R & B, the last of which was presented to the songwriters, which included Beyoncé herself.
The next album, Survivor, proved to be another smash hit, going to number two on the Billboard 200 and U.S. R & B, and the Canadian album charts, while generally successful in the world. Two singles from the album hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100: “Independent Women (Part 1) and” Bootylicious “with the title song from the album reached number 2.” Independent Women (Part 1) was the subject Music Charlie’s Angels in late 2000, before the release of 2001 album. The song “Survivor” would win the band their second Grammy for Best R & B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The album is the fourth and final single, “Emotions” was a cover of the Bee Gees hit of the same name, continued the series of impressive group of ten visits.
In 2004 it was announced that will release two albums. The first, Destiny Fulfilled has been released, and the first singles “Lose My Breath” “Soldier” and “Girl.” All these albums have been top 10 of the Billboard charts and singles, respectively.
Solo Career
In 2001, Beyoncé won the Songwriter of the Year by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Pop Music Awards. This is the first African American woman and the second woman of any race to win a trophy.
Beyonce then act, with MTV’s “Carmen” without any prior training. In the summer of 2002, Beyoncé co-starred in Austin Powers in Goldmember movie role opposite Mike Myers Austin ‘Powers, as Foxxy Cleopatra. He also recorded a song and a music video called “Work It Out” for the soundtrack. “Work It Out” was a Top 10 hit in the UK and a top 40 in the Netherlands, Australia and Ireland, but Beyoncé’s biggest failure to date in their country of origin, United States, hardly touched the radio song and video received very low exposure, only the digital video channels, MTV Jams and VH1 Soul.
During the autumn of 2002, the singer Beyonce in Jay-Z appeared only hit “‘03 Bonnie and Clyde”. The couple is committed, and the current rumors say they will marry soon.
In the spring of 2003, Beyoncé remade a duet with Luther Vandross, called “The Closer I Get To You”, originally performed by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. In this version, the voice grew, with Luther and Beyonce Roberta participant taking Donny. In 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo album Dangerously In Love. Their first single, “Crazy in Love”, featured a guest rap from Jay-Z and rapidly became one of the great successes of the summer, staying at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks. Dangerously in Love went to the top of the charts in the UK and Canada as well as American pop (Billboard 200) and R & B charts. This album has sold 6 million copies worldwide. In the single and album simultaneously topped the charts both the U.S. and the UK, became the first act to achieve this feat since Men at Work in 1983 – in the 60 and 70, was done by the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and Rod Stewart.
In the televised celebration of July 4, 2003, Beyoncé came under controversy from the Grant Memorial Association for her performance of “Crazy in Love” in which she danced in a “clearly inappropriate” on the steps of the tomb President Ulysses S. Around the same time, Beyoncé starred in the film The Fighting Temptations with Cuba Gooding Jr. and recorded a song for it called “Fighting Temptation”, with rappers Missy Elliott, MC Lyte and Free. Unlike Beyoncé own singles, the song became popular, although the film was a moderate success.
Fresh off the success of “Baby Boy”, Beyoncé released her third solo single, “Me Myself And I” towards the end of 2003, Dangerously In Love’s fourth single, “Naughty Girl”, was released in mid-2004. They also have the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100.
Beyonce is currently in preproduction on The Pink Panther in the role of Xania, appearing alongside Steve Martin who plays Inspector Clouseau. The film is scheduled for release in 2005.
